Safety You Can See
Our residential test and tag services cover a wide range of household appliances and portable devices. From kettles and heaters to extension cords, tools and chargers, we check each item for insulation resistance, polarity and earth continuity to ensure they’re working safely.
It’s ideal for rental properties, Airbnb's and families wanting that extra level of assurance—especially in older homes or where young children are around.
We label each item clearly with a pass or fail status, retest date and technician ID.
All results are documented, giving you a clear safety record and proof of compliance if needed.
Whether you’re checking before a move, after a storm or as part of your yearly maintenance, we’re here to make it straightforward.
Our Testing Services
Preventative maintenance programs save you money in the long run and provide peace of mind that your people and property are safe. We test a variety of electrical components and systems periodically to safeguard against any potential or real dangers. Following site testing and inspections, a comprehensive report including register is provided, according to WHS requirements. This assists you in verifying your legal compliance by providing accountability. Part of our turn-key approach includes notification of testing interval dates. We program a call from our office to schedule subsequent service calls. This avoids you overlooking retest dates. It is one less thing you have to remember. We partner with you to help maintain a safe and compliant WHS management system.
Our testing division is systemised against the Australian Standards. We operate a platform of procedures, processes and checklists to ensure uniformity and safety standards are being met. Our team are fully trained and licensed electricians.
*Insurance companies may use our services for make-safe and testing for functionality and/or safety.

Is test and tag required in residential homes?
In general, residential test and tag is not legally required for standard homeowners. However, it is highly recommended for rental properties, home offices and short-term stays like Airbnb, where there's a duty of care to ensure appliances are safe for use by others.
What appliances should be tested at home?
Any portable appliance with a flexible cord and plug should be considered for testing. This includes kitchen items like toasters and kettles, heaters, power boards, electric tools and chargers. Items that are regularly moved or used outdoors are at higher risk of damage.
How long does a residential test and tag take?
Testing is quick and efficient. A typical home may take 30 minutes to an hour depending on the number of appliances. Each item is visually inspected, tested using a portable appliance tester, then tagged and recorded. You’ll receive a full report at the end of the service.
